Description
The fruits of pepper Navaха have an elongated-conical shape, up to 18 cm long and 2-3 cm in diameter, weighing approximately 80-90 grams. Their surface is smooth, slightly wrinkled, with a wall thickness of 2-4 mm. In technical ripeness, the fruits are yellowish-white, turning bright red upon biological ripening. The fruits contain two chambers. The flavor is moderately spicy, making them versatile for fresh consumption, home cooking, as well as for pickling and canning.
For successful cultivation, seedlings should be sown at the end of February, planted to a depth of 1 cm, and pricked out at the cotyledon stage. Transplanting seedlings into the ground is recommended from early to mid-May, following a planting scheme of 30x40 cm. During plant formation, all side shoots and leaves up to the first fork should be removed to improve ventilation and light exposure. It is important to avoid proximity to other pepper varieties to prevent cross-pollination and alteration of fruit flavor.
