Description
The flesh is juicy and sweet with a typical pepper aroma, and the skin is of medium density. The taste of fresh fruits is rated as good to excellent. Total sugar content in biologically mature fruits ranges from 4.4% to 4.7%, and ascorbic acid content is from 151 to 217 mg per 100 g of dry matter, making this variety not only tasty but also nutritious.
The SELEGER hybrid is characterized by high yields of marketable fruits — from 161 to 293 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching up to 471 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding the standards of some well-known varieties. It is resistant to fruit tip rot and tolerant to Phytophthora (Phytophthora infestans), ensuring stable yields and product quality. The variety is recommended for cultivation in open ground, particularly in the North Caucasus region.
