Slonovo Uvo

Sweet pepper variety 'Sloono Uho' is a medium to tall plant with a spreading form and large, dark green, wrinkled leaves. The fruits have a conical, elongated shape with 2-3 chambers, moderate to strong ribbing, and a strong gloss. In technical maturity, they are dark green, and in biological maturity, they turn into a rich cherry-red hue. Wall thickness varies from 5.5 to 8 mm, making the fruits fleshy and juicy. Average fruit weight ranges from 75 to 200 grams, length up to 20 cm, and diameter up to 12 cm.

The variety is characterized by early or mid-late maturity with a vegetative period of 70 to 100 days after transplanting. The plant is well-adapted to various growing conditions, including open ground and plastic covers, and exhibits high resistance to viruses, especially tobacco and tomato mosaic virus. The pepper quickly recovers fruiting after stress factors such as hail, wind, or drought, ensuring a stable and high yield — up to 3 kg per plant, with an open-ground yield of 3.2 kg per square meter.
