Description
The pepper fruits have a conical shape, consist of four sectors, and are characterized by uniformity, density, and attractive appearance. Fruit length reaches 13-15 cm, diameter — 6-8 cm, wall thickness — 7-9 mm, and average weight of ripe fruit varies from 150 to 180 grams. During ripening, fruit color changes from milky-white or green at technical maturity to a rich orange-red at biological maturity. The flesh is crisp, juicy, and slightly sweet, containing a high amount of dry matter, making them ideal for fresh consumption, processing, canning, and drying.
The Centurion F1 hybrid possesses stable resistance to several diseases, including bacterial spot (races 1-3), potato Y virus (strain 0), and tobacco mosaic virus (pathotype P0). Due to the dense fruit structure and resistance to damage, the pepper withstands long-distance transportation and prolonged storage while preserving its commercial and flavor qualities. Recommended planting density is 3 plants per 1 m² in protected ground and 30-35 thousand plants per hectare in open ground.
