Description
The fruits of the Housekeeper pepper are flat-round in shape and weigh between 100 to 170 grams. Their color changes from dark green in technical maturity to rich red in biological maturity. Fruit wall thickness varies from 6 to 9 mm, making them medium- to thick-walled, and the number of chambers typically ranges from 3 to 4. Due to their juicy texture and excellent taste, these peppers are ideal for stuffing, canning, freezing, and fresh consumption.
The Housekeeper variety matures early: from seedling emergence to the start of fruiting, it takes only 110–115 days, with harvest occurring in August–September. Average yield is 3 to 5 kg per square meter, which is an excellent indicator for efficient land use. For successful cultivation, timely watering, regular weeding, loosening, and mineral fertilizer feeding are recommended. Seedlings are planted at a spacing of 50x35 cm, and for tall forms, training into two stems with the use of a trellis system is possible.
