Description
The peppers have a cube-shaped or rectangular form with a smooth, glossy surface. Their weight varies from 170 to 285 grams, and the wall thickness reaches 4–10 mm, making the flesh juicy, tender, and especially suitable for stuffing. At technical maturity, the fruits are dark green, while at biological maturity, they turn into a rich dark-orange or red hue. Up to 15–20 fruits ripen simultaneously on one plant, and new fruits quickly form after harvest, ensuring a prolonged fruiting period.
The variety exhibits high commercial yield potential, reaching 40–50 tons per hectare, and demonstrates good resistance to tobacco mosaic virus, verticillium wilt, and other diseases. Thanks to these qualities and its universal application in culinary and processing industries, 'Red Barin' is ideally suited for cultivation under various climatic conditions, including greenhouses and open fields, as well as for long-term storage and use fresh or as a stuffed dish.
