Description
This variety is recommended for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. It is hardy and easily withstands short-term temperature drops, which is especially important for regions with short and cool summers. However, this variety is not suitable for southern regions, as under hot weather conditions, the fruits may spoil and yield decreases. Sowing for seedlings is done at the end of February, transplanting occurs in the cotyledon stage, and seedlings are planted in the ground at the end of May. For plant shaping, all lateral shoots and leaves should be removed up to the first fork, and the planting scheme is 40x60 cm.
The fruits of the "Fon Baron Orange" variety are widely used in cooking due to their shape and thick walls. They are used for attractive sweet slicing, portioned salads or meat dishes, as well as for stuffing. Additionally, the peppers are suitable for baking and canning. Although the taste of the fruits is not very sweet, they have an attractive appearance and versatility in use.
