The Czech breeding school Moravoseed CZ a.s. has focused the CYNTHIA F1 hybrid on a balance between early maturity and marketability for the fresh produce sector. Unlike many varieties aimed at industrial processing, this hybrid is optimized for greenhouse conditions, where climate control maximizes its potential for shape and color uniformity.

Fruit Geometry and Physical Parameters

A key feature of CYNTHIA F1 is its precise trapezoidal shape, with dimensions of 14.4 cm in length and 6.6 cm in diameter. This geometry ensures predictable packing density for standard retail containers. The three-chamber structure of the fruit, combined with a wall thickness of 5–6 mm, creates an optimal mass-to-density ratio, which is critical for long-distance transport.

Ripening Dynamics and Color Specifics

The hybrid's technological cycle involves a two-stage pigmentation transition:

• Technical Maturity: Fruits acquire a yellow-white hue. At this stage, the pepper provides maximum crispness and a delicate flavor, which is the benchmark for the fresh market segment.
• Biological Maturity: Transition to an intense red color. The process of lycopene and sugar accumulation concludes with uniform coloration across the entire epicarp surface.

The engineering decision regarding the wall thickness (5–6 mm) was not arbitrary; it represents the "golden mean" that allows for avoiding the excessive wateriness typical of overly thick-walled hybrids while maintaining the juiciness demanded by end consumers.
