Description
The fruits of Trebia are large, weighing 200 to 500 grams, with an elongated-cuboid or prism-shaped form and bright yellow or orange-yellow coloration as they mature. Fruit wall thickness varies from 7.2 to 10 mm, ensuring juiciness, elasticity, and firm flesh. The fruits have high transportability and can be stored for up to three weeks, which is convenient for marketing and processing. Fruit diameter reaches 9-11 cm, and length 12-15 cm, with four or more locules.
The Trebia hybrid is resistant to several diseases, including tomato bronze mosaic virus, tobacco mosaic virus, verticillium wilt, and blossom end rot. It is also tolerant of cool conditions and can bear fruit until frost. Cultivation of this hybrid requires no special skills: seeds are sown in seedbeds in early March, and transplanted into the ground in May after frost danger has passed. Regular watering, weed control, and fertilization are necessary for high yield.
